I Did It!

That's right: I did it. I posted every day for the entire month of November to take part in the NaBloPoMo festivities.

There were times I was daunted, times I had writer's -- and cook's -- block, but I pushed ahead, all for this moment of great satisfaction. :-)

I've been invigorated by the daily postings. I will go back down to posting twice a week or so, but it's always nice to be inspired.

IComLeavWe

Today is the beginning of IComLeavWe, otherwise known as International Comment Leaving Week!

So dorky, I know. But kind of a cool way to get some conversations going on these here Internets. So comment on the blog posts you read (including, ahem, mine!) -- and spread some blog-reading love.

Tell me about your favorite recipes. Your favorite foods. That great restaurant you just went to. How you tried one of the recipes posted here and modified it to make it even better.

(Yep, I'm on the list of bloggers participating -- number 130, to be exact.)

NaBloPoMo 2009!

I know you've been waiting for it all year long, and it's finally here:

NaBloPoMo*!

That's right, friends -- National Blog Posting Month is here. I'm a little daunted, but I've done it once before and failed once before, and I am determined to make this year a success. 2009 will be a comeback for Dena's Recipe Exchange!

So as of today, November 1st, I will be blogging every day for the entire month. Just like the NaBloPoMo badge says, it's gonna be 30 Posts (at least) in 30 Days around here.

So get ready!

And if, perchance, you happen to have thoughts or suggestions about recipes or topics about which I might blog, I would be eternally grateful if you would send them to me.

Back with more posting tomorrow....

Adieu NaBloPoMo

Still sad I couldn't make it this year. I did it last year, though!
Friends are suggesting I make another month my own private NaBloPoMo -- like a DeBloPoMo. I just might do it.

Adieu NaBloPoMo Aspirations

Sadly, Election Day just kicked my butt and I failed on the posting-every-day NaBloPoMo phenomenon like right out of the park. :-(

Sorry, everyone. Hope I haven't let you down.

But this doesn't mean I won't be posting this November! It's kind of a pressure release, actually.

Anyway, I am thinking of putting some ads up on Dena's Recipe Exchange. Which is something I never thought I'd do, but well -- let's just say, if it generates any extra income at all, it will be most welcome here at Casa Dena.

I hope you don't mind them too much, and I hope you'll still read this blog. Let me know of your thoughts either way!

NaBloPoMo is on the Horizon!

And I'll be joining in the fun this year again, too.

What the heck is NaBloPoMo?

November is National Blog Posting Month. Where did it get such a dorky name?

Here's what www.nablopomo.com tells us:

"The name NaBloPoMo is derived from NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, where participants try to write an entire novel in one month. We're here because we can't commit to an endeavor of such magnitude, but we can post on our blogs every day for a month! Weekends included."

So there you have it. Stay tuned in November as I wrench my way through posting every. single. day.

If you want to help me out, send me your recipes! In fact, I would love to post your favorite Thanksgiving recipe, whatever the dish may be. Send them on in!

NaBloPoMo -- I DID IT!

OMG I can't believe it! I completed National Blog Posting Month. Without cheating! I can't even tell you how proud of myself I am right now.

What does this mean, you ask?

It means I committed to posting at least once a day for each day in November. And I did! Phew. The puppy is right. I'm pooped. But it was actually really satisfying.
